Chad met up with this lovely couple back in September for their engagement session. It was gloomy out that day, which always makes us fearful of being rained out. Based on the photo below, I think the sky worked to their advantage…
When Chad got home, my only question was “did it rain?” All Chad could talk about was how fun and easy-going Sara and Aaron were. He said that they were naturals in front of the camera, and he was very excited to see how they had turned out. I LOVE this next shot:
I love all of these images because they really make me feel like I know Sara and Aaron, whom I’ve never met. I perceive their love to be very real and honest. I often feel like I know our clients better than the average person would because quite frankly, I stare at them on a computer screen for hours while working on their photos. I know their happy faces, their loving faces, their awkward faces, their serious faces. I know what vulnerable looks like for them and happiness so intense that it brings tears. How many people can you say that about? Usually, not many. Our job is to follow people around all day, focusing on them literally and figuratively. I want to capture the most pure essence of them that I can possibly create, but this is from my perspective. I hope that the love I see translates into my photos. This is why I do what I do.
I apologize for the tangent, but seeing photos that Chad took reminds me of this idea. Feeling like I know someone based solely on an image inspires me. Congratulations to Sara and Aaron, and thank you for being in love.
