Blog Day 26: Outer Banks Wedding – Cindy + Dan

We received this thank you card in the mail recently:

“Chad and Genevieve-
I know I have said this a million times; however, I want to personally thank you both for our beautiful wedding photos. We could not of asked for more. The day was absolutely beautiful and the both of you captured it perfectly. You guys did an awesome job and are extremely talented. I cannot wait to see the book! We wish the both of you and your families a happy holiday season and a happy new year!
Cindy and Dan”

I can’t put into words how much notes like this mean to me. It makes all the self-doubt, stress, and long days just melt away. It makes me feel good to know that I have not let someone down who has entrusted me to capture one of the biggest days of their life. Cindy and Dan-thank you! And FYI, if you are reading this, I just got your album in! Mailing it out tomorrow, just in time for the holidays!

Cindy and Dan got married oceanfront at the Ritz Palm (not to be confused with the Grande Ritz Palm on the sound). These properties are lined with huge palm trees and an unmatched attention to detail.

To truly tell the story of any wedding day, all-day coverage is a must. We met up with Cindy, her sisters, and mom at the hair salon.

Check out that dress!

Future bride?

The day was filled with adorable little ones…

The ceremony was held on the deck, overlooking the ocean on a PERFECT October day.

Rev. Jay Bowman was as enthusiastic as always!

After the ceremony, we headed out to the beach for some photos of the newlyweds.

Awesome staircase in the house!

This next one is kind of funny if you notice that there are two 10 balls. Chad and I were trying to think of cool ring ideas when I thought about using their date. My idea was immediately shot when I realized there were two 10’s in the date. Cindy simply said, “There’s another pool table downstairs.” I house like the Ritz Palm WOULD have 2 pool tables!

The reception was outside by the pool on a lovely fall evening…

Congrats and enjoy!

  1. Really wonderful imagery. It seems like the weather was perfect. Certainly one of my favorite shots is the balcony shot during the ceremony which pretty much establishes the landscape with the proximity to the ocean. Wonderful.

  2. Hi I was thinking of getting an event home. Do you mind me asking how many guest you had? I’m Trying to determine if this would work for my family.
