There is so much to say about this couple and this wedding that I don’t even know where to begin. The wedding was beautiful and wonderful and amazing, but it was topped by how amazing it was getting know Lindsay and Jason and witnessing their love for each other. We first met these two when they came to the Outer Banks to run the marathon back in November. Understanding the amount of dedication that it takes to train for and run a marathon, I have to say that I think these two have even more dedication to each other. You can see their engagement photos and read about how they met HERE.
When we chatted after their session about their wedding, they told us that they were getting married inside the Carnegie Museum. Ummmm….yes please! The photos online do not do this place justice. When Chad and I arrived and scoped out the venue the morning before the wedding, we were beyond excited. We couldn’t help but dream of all the photos we hoped to capture. This is where having a couple as into their pictures as we are is a dream come true. Lindsay and I talked extensively about our plan of attack, and I think everything worked out amazingly.
We first met Lindsay and a huge smile on the street as the ladies pulled up to the museum in their limo. We headed to the Founder’s Room where the ladies got ready. The mantle and gold details were just to die for! The boys showed up a little later, and soon Lindsay and Jason shared their “first look” in the Hall of Sculpture.
We were so happy about having time to take the wedding party around downtown Pittsburgh, and I love the locations that Lindsay chose. The Mellon Institute was my favorite. We stood on the stairs where the upcoming Batman movie was filmed! It was extremely humid that day and we were even briefly rained upon, but this wedding party rocked it out.
We headed back inside to cool off before the ceremony began, and what a ceremony it was. Everywhere we went, there was just more and more eye candy. As a photographer, what could be better than roaming an empty museum with your couple, stopping wherever you wish before heading outside to more downtown beauty? Um, nothing!
The reception was held in the Music Hall Foyer. A foyer? This room stole the show. We had a blast from start to finish. Lindsay & Jason-we can’t thank you enough for the opportunity and for always being so kind. Your families were wonderful, and we loved being a part of it all. Enjoy your new adventure in Korea! Congrats!
