Outer Banks Wedding: Brittany + Zack

Brittany and Zack met the summer before college at a baseball game and quickly became inseparable at Bucknell University. 7 years later, they came to the Outer Banks to get married! This day in July was perfect. The bright blue and orange (Bucknell colors) emulated Brittany’s infectious personality and Zack’s eyes lit up from the moment he saw her. We did a first look with these two so that they could enjoy cocktail hour with all of their guests after the ceremony. The Sanderling’s front entrance provided the perfect spot for Zack to wait for his beautiful bride.

We took the wedding party out to the beach before the ceremony. This group was great, definitely emulating a wedding PARTY!

The ceremony was on the beach in front of the Sanderling. I loved the unique chair arrangement, the band, and the awesome huppah made by Renee Landry. The ribbons made a great swishing sound throughout the ceremony that perfectly complemented the waves.

Because we were also done with formal photos shortly after the ceremony, we had plenty of time to get detail shots of all the awesome decor. Renee Landry did another stellar job with everything. The centerpieces made of fabric flowers and buttons were to die for!

Yes, these cookies look and tasted amazing, but this is also a really cool northern tradition. Families brought their best cookies to create this visual and tasty masterpiece!

I’m not sure why, but I just love this intro shot. Brittany and Zack were just beaming from the support of all of their friends and family.

Another Bright Eyes first dance…LOVED IT!

We are always happy when we get to work with our buddy DJ Bruce, so when he told us to “get ready, there’s going to be some kind of dance going on,” we knew we’d be in for a fun night. Michael Jackson hit the speakers, and a couple ladies started what looked like some spontaneous dancing. Well, much to the surprise of Brittany and Zack, this turned into a full out FLASH MOB! Tons of people joined in, making it an awesome wedding surprise for the couple.

Great Cakes rocked out another beauty. Brittany turned XMAS ornaments into some awesome cake toppers 🙂

Just a little before sunset, we stole Brittany and Zack out for their portraits. The light was just flawless, the perfect time for these two to steal a few moments to be together and bask in their new roles as husband and wife.

The rest of the night was all celebration.

Congrats Brittany & Zack!
