Kelly & Adam should be the official poster wedding for the color PURPLE! I have to admit that purple is not generally high on my list of favorite colors (I do not regularly make lists of my favorite colors. Really, I don’t!), but man, these two made purple look so good! I now LOVE purple.
We send all of our couples questionnaires to gather info about their wedding, but we also ask questions about them as a couple and as individuals. We do this in hopes of gaining a sense of who they are so that we can accurately capture their spirits in our photos. When asked about their hobbies/passions in life, Kelly & Adam replied, “We are passionate about music. Much of our free time is spent seeing live music and in our younger days we followed certain bands around the country. ” We were instantly stoked.
I just love these two and the smiles that didn’t leave their faces all day long:
Kelly & Adam got married at an event home called Utopia. The details were endless, and they were gorgeous…
Kelly, what a classic beauty you are.
The fellas in their “man cave.”
The main event…
Storms threatened us again this wedding and we even felt a sprinkle during the ceremony, but it was well worth it to score these beautiful clouds.
When Kelly left her father’s side and turned to Adam, I think she was ready to go in for the kiss right then and there! Alas, she was delayed for a few important moments…
They might be just a little happy about being husband and wife…
Their officiant, Dave Keller, was also kind enough to read the Ketubah, a Jewish marriage contract (please correct me if I’m wrong about this guys, I had to look it up!).
We then had some fun with the wedding party.
Real men wear purple.
This next one is my favorite image of the day. You can just feel the love.
More details…
Kelly’s mom made these amazing cupcakes!
The Good Life Gourmet supplied the delicious eats…
Kelly, you will always have a place in my heart for choosing my favorite musician for your first dance! For anyone who hasn’t heard of Conor Oberst or his band Bright Eyes, you should change that immediately.
After that heartfelt first slow dance, it was on to the fun stuff!
We just HAD to drag Kelly & Adam back out for a few more. The sky was just too pretty.
The toasts were perfect.
And, I don’t think Kelly’s dad or Adam’s mom could have been prouder of their children in these moments…
More details you ask? How about this awesome wish tree…
DJ Bruce kept the night rockin’, spinning vinyl and playing some great tunes. Kelly and Adam, congrats and always enjoy the soundtrack of your lives together as husband and wife!
