Oh, Laurie & Kevin, what can I say about you two? I wish you guys had been a little more laid back, a little more fun, and a little more in love. And, I wish you had been a little more into your pictures.
I kid, I kid!
Laurie & Kevin are basically every photographer’s dream. They were super excited about the photography aspect of their wedding, and they trusted us completely. They were also very flexible. I say this in particular because, when we arrived at the Hilton Pier House, this is what we saw:
So much for a beach ceremony! There was basically no beach thanks to our wonderfully unpredictable Outer Banks weather. Laurie and Kevin quickly changed pace, and the ceremony was moved to the pier.
Renee Landry set up her beautifully colorful decor, as always, and Laurie’s bouquet was especially gorgeous.
The girls were all smiles when I showed up for final preparations…
Lookin’ good boys!
Laurie…just stunning!
That man of yours isn’t bad either…
LOVE the gray suit and pocket watch!
Chad snapped this candid right before the ceremony started. Kevin was ready to get down that aisle and wait for his lady.
Of all the weddings we’ve shot at the Pier House, I think this was the first one that was actually on the pier. I think it’s a really beautiful place to get married, right over the ocean. To add a little character, the ocean had to bump us from time to time…
I love these next two together. Chad has such an eye for details…I knew I brought him along for some reason!
And they’re married!
Laurie with her ladies…
Another Chad shot from a different angle…
Everybody now!
Now just the fellas…
Zoolander?
The new married couple…
The pelicans were out in full force.
Love this one.
Key to a successful marriage? Make her laugh!
Renee Landry did a phenomenal job decorating the Pier House as usual…
A little Thriller first dance? Yes, please!
Argyle’s provided some lovely cupcakes!
I think they ate some too…
Everyone spent the rest of the night gettin’ dooown…
Remember when I said that Laurie and Kevin were into their photos? This is what that gets you:
Congrats Laurie & Kevin! Thank you for being so wonderful and making our job so easy! Photo booth fun will follow very soon, so check back!
Genevieve and Chad,
Your great eyes caught the beauty and the fun of Kevin and Laurie’s wedding — thank you. All our family and friends have raved about your photos/blogs. All have commented that you caught the “celebration” atmosphere that they wanted. Even those who were unable to attend.
Getting you into their pictures was the lasting compliment to your priceless contribution to their day.
