Outer Banks Wedding – Lindsey and Dean – May 2010

Oh, Linsey and Dean, you guys have a special place in our hearts! Congratulations! We met Linsey and Dean back in October when they came down to the Outer Banks to wrap up some wedding plans and have their engagement photos done. Chad and I love when couples choose to do an engagement session. The vast majority of our clients are from out of town (more like out of state), and many, we don’t even get to meet in person before their wedding day. An engagement session is great because a) we get to meet our clients and our clients get to meet us, b) the couple has the opportunity to get a feel for what it’s like have a camera following them around, and c) they get some awesome photos to keep and share.

For Linsey and Dean’s engagement session, we had a typical Outer Banks storm brewing, bringing chilly weather and ruff seas. Linsey and Dean didn’t let this phase them at all, except maaaaybe they used it as an excuse to cuddle up even closer 🙂 From this first impression, Chad and I knew that we were going to have a blast at their wedding.

The Birts got married on the beach in Nags Head with a reception poolside at their super cool rental house. The decorations were amazing, and come to find out, Linsey’s mom was the one responsible. This just shows what you can do on your own to make your wedding unique and beautiful. The always wonderful Jay Bowman officiated, and Out Back Kitchen provide some yummy eats.

Thank you guys for having us, and enjoy!

    • I believe this was a private home. It is in Nags Head across from the Outer Banks Mall. If you’re looking for something similar, I’d try Village Realty. I hope this helps!

  1. Hi, I love the way the house is set up with the balloons, cocktail tables and lighting. Who did you have set that up for you? Im planning my wedding for this September!

  2. This looks beautiful. I’m looking to have my wedding next year in the obx in may. How was the weather that time of year?
