Melissa + Keith @ The Sanderling Resort
Chad and I absolutely loved working with Melissa and Keith for so many reasons. Melissa contacted us sometime in December 2009/January 2010 and booked shortly thereafter. As a photographer, it is always nice to be booked a year+ in advance because we instantly know a few things about our new clients: they are organized, thoughtful, and they value their wedding photography. Well, throw in an engagement session to get to know them before the wedding, and we have our perfect client situation. Melissa and Keith did just this, and I think that because of all of that and their warm personalities, we were able to best capture the spirit of them and their wedding day.
Keith & Melissa were very proud of their personal DIY touches, and I thought everything looked great…

…and the flowers by Sugar Snap Events.
Make-up by Bombshell…
It was another gorgeous day on the Outer Banks. Perfect temperature and all…
Dr. Dave conducted a perfect ceremony, as always…
The sky could not have been bluer, and the wedding party could not have been more wonderful.
Melissa planned the day perfectly, and we ended up with over 30 minutes with just the two of them…a photographer’s dream? Yes please!
Just beautiful…
We just couldn’t resist snagging the beach chairs and umbrella again!
This is why you wear a veil!
My personal favorite from the day…
Details, details…
Hey guys, the dance lessons paid off…you look hott!
and one for Dad.
So at the Sanderling, there’s sort of an unwritten rule that you must do sunset photos at the gazebo. Well, we did that, but we also found a new spot just off to the side.
Classic beauty and grace.
After that, it was party time!
DJ Bruce kept everyone on the dance floor…
How often do you see Chad and I in front of a camera? Thanks to Fletcher, our videographer, for the photo op!
Melissa & Keith, congrats and thank you for being a photographer’s dream. Video soon to come!
I can’t stop looking at these pics, they are so freaking good. You guys are so talented, creative, and magician like with a camera. We can’t thank you enough and will cherish these photos forever.
